SOPHIA DENNISTON, MSW INTERN

Sophia Denniston is an intern that is new to the team.  She has a Bachelor's degree from Mitchell College with concentrations in Biology and Human Development, and she is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University.  She has experience working in individual and group settings, serving substance abuse, and mental health populations. She utilizes CBT, Encouragement, and Structural approaches to facilitate the clinical experience.  She also believes in a holistic approach to therapy where the client is viewed as an individual, as well as an individual in their environment. This gives a better picture of who the client is, so that treatment can be tailored to the individual.  She recognizes there is not a “one size fits all” model to treatment and will work diligently to create a treatment plan that both she and the client believe will help them best achieve their goals.
